THE INTERBORO AND RIDLEY SCHOOL DISTRICTS PRESENT: 3rd Annual U.S. Army March On Hunger

Prospect Park, Pennsylvania, October 29, 2018The Interboro and Ridley School Districts in conjunction with the U.S. Army will be hosting the U.S. Army March on Hunger on January 21st 2019. Over the past two years this joint effort has collect over 50,000 thousand pounds of food for our local food bank.

After the holiday season local foodbanks have their greatest needs as the holidays often bring the greatest demand. To bring attention to this and to aid in offsetting needs, the U.S. Army, in conjunction with the Interboro School District and its community schools: Prospect Park Elementary, Norwood Elementary, Glenolden Elementary, Tinicum Elementary, and Interboro High School along with Ridley High School from the Central League will be collecting can goods and other nonperishable items at each High School from January 2nd through January 21st. On January 21st the Army will collect all food from Interboro and Ridley High School after the rivalry basketball games conclude. The soldiers at each school will then Ruck March from Interboro High School.

Distance from Interboro HS to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry- 1.8 miles.

Both Interboro and Ridley are committed to developing successful academic, and athletic leaders. This events helps educate our athletes on the importance of community and brings our young people together in that spirit.
